The main menu is long and difficult to use. You're stuck while important narration occurs, so every time I restarted the game I had to sit through the same scene. There's physics issues (There was a bowl of fruit that was rolling around. One playthrough an orange was rolling around in the bathroom. How did it get there? One of life's little mysteries.) There's tons of stuff all over the apartment, but it looks like most of it can't be used. On key items, a sticky note appears. On my playthroughs the sticky note became stuck to my controller and wouldn't come off. Overall mildly frustrating. I gave up on it after the third attempt to progress.. Cross bred between room escape and walking simulator. I just beat it, starts kinda slow and a bit confusing but then picks up and i have to say the final part was amazing. I was expecting a psychologic drama for women, but i rather found a mature and unsettling story and enviroment that recalls games like Silent Hill amongst others, and the game has some quite interesting and original VR moments i did apreciate.. Interesting with a nice twist ending.. Great graphics, great intriguing story until the end, the game runs smoothly and interacting with objects is very easy. Length of this game i'd say is about 2 hours really stretching it out. I had a bug where if I tabbed out of the game and back in, I could no longer interact with objects and therefore had to restart leading to save issues as the game only saves during certain check points, which was annoying. The ending is absolute dog♥♥♥♥♥♥ Most people will see the end take shape about halfway or three quarters through exploring the home. The ending begins just as you might expect and you are absolutely FULL OF QUESTIONS!!!! The excitement and possibilities had my heart racing only for you to walk through one door and watch a cutscene on one of the walls of the next room play. This scene's narrative can be boiled down to "cuz ♥♥♥♥ you thats why" Then the credits roll. At no point do we see any real conclusion of the characters development nor we do we get any information on who the third party is calling us from within the home. I think I bought this for less than $10 IIRC, I'd say it's barely worth that. I cannot in good faith recommend this game unless you are just looking for a walking simulator to scratch the itch because you've played most of the good ones.. Elena is an adventure title that tells the story of the lady who's searching for his missing husband. It is a title that is compatible with the HTC Vive VR headset, but can also be played without one.Elena features minimal gameplay, and the story is illustrated through dialogues, the environments and in textual form. There is literally no action in this game as well. Player will be exploring the house to search for clues to learn where his missing husband is, and connecting the clues to learn what has really happened, as things are not as simple as she has originally though. This game last between 45 minutes to under 2 hours, and thus it is a pretty short game, so player may want to adjust their expectation. There are some minor glitches in VR mode, so hopefully the dev will goes to fix them. While most items can be picked up, they can't really be interacted in anyway.. The story seems intriguing, but the game is difficult to play due to how glitchy it is. The first time around I was suddenly unable to interact with most objects, so I had to start over. This time, the game crashed because a paper got stuck in a drawer that I had just closed! I was also stuck with only being able to rotate an item that I was examining on one axis, which, if by design, doesn't seem very intuitive. For instance, I picked up a note, but was only able to rotate it left and right - this meant that, due to the starting position of the object, I wasn't able to actually get a better loot at it whatsoever.I don't know, maybe it works better in VR? Still, I can't recommend the game in its current state - at least not for non-VR - and it doesn't seem like it's getting updated either, which is a shame, because it could certainly have needed another patch or two.I will probably give the game another chance at some point, and if it decides to be more cooperative I will udpated this review..
